Joran used to work as an engineer in big industries. Tired, he decided to change of scene. So he took an interest in ciders and decided to learn more about it. Little by little, he went to different producers, discovered some flavors that were unknown to him until then. He also learned, that hundreds of varieties of ciders existed, all different based on the selected apples and the climate.

“It is in September 2019 that the first cider Belgian bar opened its doors.”

Every bottle is carefully selected by Joran who imports then himself from the producers. He proposes a rich and varied range with a choice of 80 ciders. Sweet, semi-dry, and dry cider (Joran’s favorite), there is for everyone. The selection proposed is never definitive. Indeed, it depends of the producer’s offer, the season, and the climate. Anyway, the Joran’s Cidrothèque is one of the only which proposes a diversified range to delight your taste buds.

In order to accompanied this drink based on apples or peers, Joran proposes a menu (almost) typically Breton: buckwheat pancakes, desserts, … that goes perfectly with the entire range of drinks proposed.

In our shop we propose “Joran le Cidre” which is a perfect classic of Brittany. According to Joran, it will marry perfectly with meals based on buckwheat and chestnut. For example, buckwheat pancakes or chicken with chestnut sauce. For the appetizer, the cider goes accompanies very well with Norman cheese, like camembert cheese.
